Inspired by the rich history of instrument building along the midcoast of America’s Great Lakes.
We exist to create acoustically mindful electric guitars for the every musician, marrying heirloom quality with modern sensibility. We focus on responsible processes by highlighting sustainable, domestic timbers and utilizing build techniques to minimize material waste.
With each guitar sold, we invest in the future of our community through duneland preservation and reforestation initiatives, planting native trees on erodible lands to preserve and replenish our coastal resources.
Our Guitars
Midcoast Guitars are designed and built in the House of Luthiery. Our guitars feature carved tops, bent sides and braced backs. Each model is a resonant and responsive hollow/semi-hollow electric guitar. Applying best practices in voicing of carved tops and air-cavities to reduce wolf-tones and feedback, we build guitars like no other.
Arclight
A modern design, influenced by the iconic California style that Leo built, featuring a chambered center-block to bust feedback without adding weight.
Floratone
Our version of the mid-century archtops made in Kalamazoo, Michigan — a timeless thin-line, hollowbody guitar, featuring a single neck pickup.
Airiar
Our rendition of the classic double-cutaway, semi-hollow electric guitar, featuring a chambered center-block to bust feedback without adding weight.
